Microsoft Teams is a tool for collaboration. It’s a chat-based workspace with shared documents, notes, and conversations. It comes with some unique features like threaded chats, video chat, and reminders.
Microsoft Teams was launched in March 2017 as an answer to Slack. It’s the latest product of Microsoft created to compete with other productivity apps like Slack and Google Docs.
In November 2018, Microsoft Teams hit 25 million active users every month while Slack had six million at that time.
